Arthroscopic Release for Frozen Shoulder
Open letter from a patient who underwent Arthroscopic Capsular Release for Frozen Shoulder :
Dear Professor Funk
Dear Professor Funk
Dear Professor Funk
It will be twelve weeks on Friday since you operated on my shoulder and I really do not know how to thank you. As each week has passed I have become more and more amazed at my progress.
You have changed my life. I still struggle to believe the difference in me but you have given me my life back. I have never before received such care during or following an operation. Dr Hundle ensured my recovery was without side effects and the nerve block enabled me to have a good journey home.
I have to say your whole team is truly exceptional. From my dealings with Will , who offers great care and concern to the wonderful Kathleen . I am so glad I was cared for by her. The progress I have made has amazed everyone around me as my life was filled with day to day pain and daily tasks were impossible. I relied on my family for things like washing my hair and cleaning my house.
Now I really can live my life to the full. Kathleen has got me doing things I never dreamt I would ever be able to do again and things I never knew that I could. Earlier in the year I had organised a walk involving over 100 people to go up Snowdon to raise money for Cancer Research UK. This event was 5 weeks after my operation I had booked myself on the train as I never dreamt I would be well enough after the surgery to complete it, but with Kathleen 's care and advice I did it surprising everyone!
You have given me my smile back and put a sparkle back in my eyes. You are a truly amazing team and I am so glad that I found you.
Thank you again for fixing me and please pass on my thanks to all of your team.
