If you are considering having any private medical treatment, there are some important issues that you should be aware of that will help to avoid any unexpected bills.  For example, did you know that YOU are responsible for ALL of your Consultant's fees even if you have health insurance and that YOU have the financial contract with them not your insurance company?  We would recommend that you read the FIPO document before arranging to see a specialist.
