Bangalore Shoulder Course in the Times News Network (October 2006):
"Bangalore: A two-day training session on shoulder surgery is being organised by Manipal Hospital. Stephen Copeland, a leading expert in shoulder surgery, said: "Since there are only a few centres which specialise in shoulder surgery, it will be a great opportunity for doctors to learn about the procedures." Around 150 doctors from Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh will witness live surgeries being done by Stephen and other specialists from UK (Lennard Funk, Leo Jacobs and Bisal Muddu) and also get Experience on keyhole surgery. Dr Mahesh Reddy, a shoulder specialist from Manipal Hospital, said: "Due to lack of expertise in shoulder pain and surgery, often the disease is mis-diagnosed or under-diagnosed."
